Mount Isa Material Recovery Facility
Construction of a large industrial shed with internal offices and amenities. Works also included extensive civil works and fencing.



Yorkeys Knob Units
Construction of a unit complex consisting of 5 x 2 and 13 x 1-bedroom units. Works also included landscaping and fencing.

Horn Island Child Safe House
Construction of a new dwelling to be used as a child safe house. Building consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, laundry and 1 staff bedroom with ensuite. Included in the build was small shed, landscaping and fencing.

Mareeba Water Treatment Plant Filtration Upgrade

Construction of a new water treatment facility by Strategic Builders



Aurukun Police Station and Watchhouse Upgrade
Works included, demolition (part of building), internal and external renovation of the existing building and new construction of the watchhouse, gymnasium and generator building. During the construction period, the Police Station was to remain operational. Further works included fencing and landscaping.

Aurukun Water Treatment Plant
Demolition of existing building and the decommissioning of the existing water treatment system. Construction of a new water treatment building and supply and installation of a new water treatment system.

Government Employee Housing - Saibai Island
Construction of 4 x 1 Bedroom Units located on Saibai Island. Works also included driveways, fencing and landscaping.

Pormpuraaw Police Station and Watchhouse
Renovation works to existing watchhouse, to be used as the temporary Police Station during construction.

Demolition of existing Police Station and construction of new Police Station and Watchhouse. Works also included construction of a new boat shed, paving, fencing and landscaping.

This project was completed 4 weeks earlier than the contract completion date even when faced with an extended wet season and lengthy road closures.

We have received praise from the client’s representative thanking the Strategic Builders team and subcontractors for providing a quality build building of a very high standard.

Pormpuraaw Supported Accommodation
Construction of Accommodation building consisting of 4 bedrooms, with shared bathroom, kitchen, living and laundry areas and staff office and living quarters. Further works included fencing and landscaping.

Doomadgee Government Employee Housing
Construction of 22 dwellings consisting of 10 x 1 Bed Units, 4 x 2 Bed Units (pictured below), 3 x 3 Bed Units, 4 x 4 Bed Units and 1 x 5 Bed Unit. Works included driveways, communal BBQ area, visitor parking carports, fencing and landscaping.

Pormpuraaw Housing Project
Construction of 1 x 2 Bedroom Duplex (pictured below) and 4 x 2 Bedroom Houses.

Administration & design
Administration and careful design ensure a smooth and professional operation from commencement to completion of all project.
Arranging procurement
Evaluation of suppliers and subcontractors will be completed inhouse with priority given to the successful suppliers and subcontractors in the local area.
Efficient communication
Establishing clear channels and protocols ensures an efficient and quality build whilst maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Regular site meetings
Throughout the duration of the contract, meetings will be held with appropriate subcontractors and the client’s representatives.
Regular process reporting
A monthly report will provided the client’s representative which will include photographs showing the works currently under construction.
Safe site establishment
At commencement on site, safety fencing and boarding will be erected to ensure a safe separation between the construction site and the public.
Building envelopment
The external walls will be constructed, and the roof sheeted as soon as possible to secure the building and protect from the elements.
Commissioning & handover
Handover of the fully commissioned building will occur at completion of the project after all quality control procedures have been carried out.
